Blueboys force tempo and march to winners' bracket
The Carthage Blueboys, last year's tournament runner-up, unleashed a three-point shooting barrage to defeat the South Fulton Rebels, 65-52. The Blueboys took every opportunity to set the pace of the game on the offense by pushing the ball down the floor and defensively by presuring the ball all over the floor. The Blueboys shot an astounding 50% (11-22) from the three point arc, including 73% (8-11) in the first half.

The Blueboys (6-1) were led by Douglas Edwards' 20 points, including 4-7 from three point land. Brock Edris finished just shy of a double-double with 13 points and eight rebounds. The Rebels (6-4) got a double-double out of Aaron Heitz with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Ben Fouts just missed out on his own double-double with 15 points and nine caroms.
