Knoxville falls short of a consolation championship berth
For three straight years, the Knoxville Blue Bullets have been a fixture in the Consolation Championship game of the Macomb-Western Holiday Basketball Tournament. This year, things will be different as the Canton Little Giants eliminated Knoxville 57-44 in the opening game of day two action.

Canton (2-8) jumped out to a double-digit first quarter lead and was able to hold off a late Knoxville (3-6) charge behind 70 percent free throw shooting (21-of-30). Jordan Rader scored 14 to pace the Little Giants while teammate Jeremy Ball scored nine while pulling down 11 rebounds. Kyle Grady led the way for the Blue Bullets with 12 points.
