Babb's layup 15 seconds into the game gave Brown
County a lead they would never relinquish on
their way to a 69-48 victory over the Pittsfield
Saukees. Babb finished the day with 24 points on
8-of-15 shooting. Fellow Hornet Alex Ebbing also
scored 24. Pittsfield (2-9) got an 18-point performance from Jon Shepard in the loss. Brown County (11-3) got a bit of revenge on Pittsfield as the Saukees won an earlier matchup this season, 60-58, over the Hornets. Brown County advances to face Canton Friday morning at 9:00 at Macomb High School in one consolation semifinal. Pittsfield was eliminated in two games for the first time since 2002. |
