Abingdon only 1 of 13 from floor in first half   December 29, 2005
Lewistown moves on after hold down Abingdon 47-40
Abingdon only connected on one of their 13 first half field goal attempts to find themselves in a 21-9 halftime hole to the Indians of Lewistown. The Commandos climbed out of that hole hitting on nine of their 16 second half attempts from the floor and even cut the lead down to a single point after a three-pointer by Ben Hull with 2:56 reamaining in the game. Lewistown (6-4) would make their final eight free throw attempts to finish off the Commandos 47-40.

Justin Levingston topped the Indian effort with 23 points. Hull and Mitchell Malone scored 11 apiece for Abingdon (3-8) who fails to make it to the third day of the tournament for the first time since 1989. That year, Abingdon lost to East Peoria (76-35) and Forman (54-53).

Both teams shot well from the free throw line as Lewistown was 13 of 18 and Abingdon was an even better 16 of 18. Hull was perfect in six tries from the line.

Lewistown will face the winner of South Fulton vs. Monmouth Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Macomb High School in a consolation bracket semifinal.
