| The
debut of the Pleasant Plains Cardinals was a
successful one as Plains topped South Fulton

Holiday Tournament. Pleasant Plains (9-1) led
wire-to-wire and was led by David Bergschneider's
17 points while Evan Baietto chipped in with 16.
South Fulton (4-5) was led by Luke Jones' five
points.

defense held South Fulton to just 27.5% field
goal shooting in the game including 3-of-23 (13%)
in the second half.
Pleasant Plains
will take on Monmouth-Roseville tomorrow at 5:00
p.m. in a winner's bracket quarterfinal. The
Rebels slip to the losers' bracket where they
will battle Brown County tomorrow morning at 9:00
in the first game of the day.
NOTES:
- This game was
never supposed to happen as Pleasant
Plains signed on to the tourney to take
South Fulton's spot. When Rock Falls
opted to leave the tournament a year
early, the Rebels were invited back.
- This marks
first time Pleasant Plains is playing in
Western Hall where a trip to the state
quarterfinals wasn't hanging in the
balance.
