Hot shooting helps Pittsfield advance 58-30 over Carthage   December 29, 2006
Saukees shoot 60% from floor in consolation bracket victory
Pittsfield outscored Carthage 22-4 in the second quarter to earn a 58-30 win over Carthage in the quarterfinal round of the consolation bracket of the 2006 Macomb-Western Holiday Tournament.

The Saukees shot a hot 70 percent from the field in the opening half and finished 24-of-40 (60%) from the floor for the game.

Jake McNulty led a balanced Pittsfield (8-4) attack with 10 points on perfect 4-of-4 shooting from the floor. Kyle Harris and Clint Hamilton added 9 points each.

Carthage (4-5) was led by Justin Neally who finished the day with 12 points.

Pittsfield advances to play Brown County tomorrow morning at 9:00 at Macomb High School in a consolation semifinal matchup.

NOTES:
- Since Carthage's return to the tourney (2004), they have never gone 0-2.
