Knoxville's cold start spells doom
Snowfall in the Macomb area slowed the arrival of the Knoxville and possible led to some early shooting woes for the Blue Bullets as Hamilton kept their tournament alive with a 52-38 victory in the opening game of day two of the Macomb-Western Holiday Basketball Tournament.

Knoxville (4-9) only connected on five of their 21 first half field goal attempts while Hamilton (4-6) enjoyed hitting over 46% of their first half attempts from the floor. The loss kept Knoxville winless in their last seven tournament games.

Chris Schmidt led Knoxville with 15 points while Bryce Ball added 11.

Caleb Gray led Hamilton with 18 points and nine rebounds. Dylan Morris chipped in with 10 points.

Hamilton advances to face the Western/Illini Central winner tomorrow morning at 9:00 at Macomb High School in a consolation semifinal.
