2006 state quarterfinal rematch all Farmers   December 28, 2007
Brown County ousted by tenacious Farmers
The stakes weren't quite the same, but the result was.

Farmington ended Brown County's tournament with a 69-28 victory today at Western Hall. The teams met last year in Peoria in the quarterfinal round of the Class A State Tournament where Farmington notched an eight point win.

This time, Farmington (6-6) pressured the Hornets into 24 turnovers which translated into a 29-6 advantage in points-off-turnovers for the Farmers.

Brown County (3-5) was led by Blake Dunn who scored 12 points on perfect shooting as he made all five of his field goals and both of his free throws.

Tad Chatten was tops among a trio of Farmers to score ten or more as he finished the game with 16 points. Matt Swearingen added 12 while Charlie Balagna scored 11.

Farmington will face the BPCA/Illini West winner tomorrow morning at 10:30 at Macomb High School in the consolation semifinals.
