stakes weren't quite the same, but the result
was. Farmington
ended Brown County's tournament with a 69-28
victory today at Western Hall. The teams met last
year in Peoria in the quarterfinal round of the
Class A State Tournament where Farmington notched
an eight point win.
This time,
Farmington (6-6) pressured the Hornets into 24
turnovers which translated into a 29-6 advantage
in points-off-turnovers for the Farmers.
Brown County (3-5)
was led by Blake Dunn who scored 12 points on
perfect shooting as he made all five of his field
goals and both of his free throws.
Tad Chatten was
tops among a trio of Farmers to score ten or more
as he finished the game with 16 points. Matt
Swearingen added 12 while Charlie Balagna scored
11.
Farmington will
face the BPCA/Illini West winner tomorrow morning
at 10:30 at Macomb High School in the consolation
semifinals.
