Hamilton keeps Western at bay
Hamilton outshot Western by a 43-percent to 29-percent margin helping them to end Western's first entry into the Macomb-Western Holiday Tournament by a 33-28 final.

Jacob Thompson and Ryan Brunenn scored 10 apiece for Hamilton (5-6) who will be playing for their first trophy since taking home the consolation championship in 1994. Caleb Gray pulled down 14 rebounds for the Cardinals.

Western was led by Tyler Harris who pumped in 18 points in the losing effort.

The Cardinals, playing in their final M-WHT, will face Illini West in tonight's consolation championship which will tipoff at 5:00. Hamilton plans to join forces with Warsaw/Nauvoo-Colusa next season, ending a tournament run which included titles in 1983 and 1986.
