Plains moves on to the winners' bracket
West Hancock's difficulties hitting from long range proved to be too much to overcome as the Titans fell to Pleasant Plains 44-29 in opening round action at the Macomb-Western Holiday Tournament.

For the game, West Hancock (6-2) connected on only one of their 12 three-pointer attempts and only made 25.6% of all shots from the floor.

Pleasant Plains (4-7) didn't fare much better, but they were able to overcome their 31.1% shooting.

The Cardinals were led by Trevor Savage's nine points while Dylan Morris paced West Hancock with eight points.

Next up for the Titans will be Knoxville on Monday at 10:30 a.m. while Pleasant Plains moves to the quarterfinals where they will face Pittsfield at 6:30 Monday night.
