Boilermakers use balanced attack to notch win
The Kewanee Boilermakers had three score in double-figures and used their defense to force 28 turnovers enroute to a 56-48 consolation quarterfinal win over Brown County.

Louis Garms scored 18 and pulled down eight rebounds to lead Kewanee (4-9) while teammates Albert Fields (14) and Brenden Fredrickson (13) reached the double-digit plateau, as well. Fredrickson hit on three of his four three-point attempts.

Jackson Yingling led Brown County (3-5) who scored 14 off the bench. He also pulled down 11 rebounds. Jacob Wilson added 11 points while Nathan Gaudscahal was credited with 11 boards.

While the Boilermakers forced 28 turnovers, the committed 21 of their own. However, Kewanee turned those forced turnovers into 21 points while Brown County capitalized for only 10 points.

Kewanee will face the winner between BPCA and Illini Central tomorrow morning at 10:30 at Macomb High School for the right to advance to the consolation championship.
