last time Metamora played on the parquet floor of
Western Hall, they defeated Macomb for 3rd place
in 2003. This year, Metamora returned to the
M-WHT sporting the #4 seed and made a date for
the quarterfinals with a 63-43 win over
Farmington in the opening round. Metamora (5-5) never
trailed and were led by Kyle Heck's 15 points.
The Redbirds forced 36 Farmer turnovers.
With eight points,
Jesee Skaggs was the top scorer for Farmington
(3-7).
Metamora will play
Illini Central tomorrow at 5:30 p.m. at Western
Hall. Farmington battles West Hancock tomorrow
morning at 9:00 in the consolation bracket
quarterfinals. That game will be played at
Western Hall, as well.
