| In
a rematch of one of last year's semifinals,
Macomb took control early and led the whole way
in dispatching the Western Wildcats, 66-37. A big
reason for the Bomber victory? In a word:
turnovers. Macomb
(6-3) committed only 11 while forcing 23 Wildcat
turnovers which led to a 26-7 advantage in points
off of turnovers. The host Bombers also led
Western (5-6) in the rebounding department,
32-20.
Alex Roberts paced
Macomb with 20 points on 9-for-10 shooting while
Alexander Heille added 11. Western was led by
Jayson Carlton's 12 point effort.
Western faces BPCA
in a consolation bracket quarterfinal tomorrow
afternoon at 1:00 while Macomb moves to the
winners side quarterfinals where they face #2
seeded Pittsfield.
