Abingdon ousted, 40-29, by Pleasant Plains   December 29, 2009
Commandos don't go down without a fight
Playing for their tournament lives, the Abingdon Commandos never led. However, they didn't lay down, either.

After Pleasant Plains scored the game's first 13 points, Abingdon fought back scoring the next 10 to make it 13-10 with 5:21 remaining in the first half. Eventually, the Cardinals would advance to the consolation bracket semifinals with a 40-29 win in day-two action of the Macomb-Western Holiday Tournament.

Logan Harris scored 12 points and pulled down 6 rebounds to pace Plains (8-4). Dustin Myers added 11 in the win.

Abingdon (2-9) was led by Cory Link who scored 10 points. The early Commando exit was their first since losing their only two games of the 2005 tournament.

Pleasant Plains advances to a consolation bracket semifinal matchup with West Hancock which will tip tomorrow morning at 9:00 at Macomb High School.
