West Hancock (10-1) played their first game in their attempt to defend their tournament crown on Wednesday morning and defeated Brown County (5-5) by a score of 59-46.  The Titans of West Hancock scored 38 second half points to seal the victory in a game that felt closer than the final score indicated.

Brown County had the lead 14-10 after the first quarter thanks to hot shooting, but West Hancock came storming back and actually took a 21-16 lead into halftime.  The game was finished at the free throw line, as West Hancock shot 22-of-28 from the charity stripe, including 15-of-20 in the fourth quarter.  The Hornets of Brown County were stung in the second quarter when they scored just two points.
