The game had the making of a close game as Macomb (2-10) had a slim 1-point lead at halftime of the consolation championship game.  However, Abingdon-Avon (9-6) would not be denied as they outscored Macomb 25-12 in the final 2 quarters to pull out a 42-30 victory.  A strong shooting performance for A-Town was the difference in the game.  A-Town shot 51.7% from the field compared to 26.8% for Macomb.

A-Town was led by Ryan Adolphson who ended with a double-double (15 points & 10 rebounds), both game highs.  Cayden Mahr also scored in double figures with 14 points.  A-Town won the game in the paint as they outscored Macomb 24-14. 

Macomb’s leading scorer was Ben Higgins who finished with 9 points.  Colin MacGregor had a near double-double, but finished with 7 points & 8 rebounds.  Macomb won the bench points outscoring A-Town 8-0.

Before this win, the last Consolation Championship for Abingdon-Avon was in 2016.  A-Town has brought home a trophy the past 2 years as they finished in 2nd place last year.
