This game was all Tornadoes as Abingdon-Avon (8-3) used a 23 point run in the first half to put the game out of reach for Panthers of Camp Point Central (1-10).  Camp Point's Bryce Long hit a layup to pull ahead 4-2 with 6:58 to go in the first quarter.  The Panthers would not score again until 1:34 to go in the second quarter.  Until that basket, it was 27-5 and Abingdon-Avon's defense would not let Camp Pt Central back into this one.

Defense was the story in this contest.  Abingdon-Avon held Camp Point Central to just 6-32 (19%) shooting.  With :04 remaining in the third quarter, a 3-pointer by Kaden Jones pushed the score to 40-9 and initiated the tournament's first running clock.  A-Town out-rebounded Camp Pt Central 37-17.

The Tornadoes, entering the tournament as the #2 seed, were led in scoring by Ryan Adolphson's 15 points.  Kaden Jones also scored double digits, as he finished with 14.  TJ Meyers pulled down 11 rebounds and Adolphson added eight more.  Meyers also led his team in assists with five.

Camp Point Central was led in scoring by Bryce Long's five.  Blake Eyler had a team-high six rebounds and two blocks.

Abingdon-Avon advances to play in Game 14 (tomorrow, 6:30pm) against Monmouth-Roseville.  Camp Pt Central will face Eureka in Game 10 (tomorrow, 10:30am) in the Consolation bracket.
