| Notes:
Mason City built a 22-10 lead after the first
quarter, and its lead would be no less than 4 the
rest of the contest. In the third place game, a basket by
Bernie Justus scored at the buzzer to lift
Western High to the win.
In 1951, Western
High school made it to the final 16 in the state
boys basketball tournament played at Huff Gym in
Champaign. They were defeated by Marion 65-10.
