Notre Dame, then ranked #2 in class A, to the
championship win. Quincy Notre Dame led 57-35
after 3 quarters, after a desperate rally fell
short. Hamilton,
in the 1977 Class A state basketball tournament,
was defeated by Pleasant Plains 71-60 at the WIU
Super-sectional. They finished at 25-4 on the
season.
