Rock Falls Tournament Trivia:

Mike Winters is in his first year as head coach of the Rockets.

Phillip Peugh and Riley Scott were both named to the 2004 all-tournament team. Scott was the only senior on last year's Rocket squad.

Rock Falls has won the tournament in each of the last two years. Those are the only two times the Rockets have participated in the Macomb-Western Holiday Basketball Tournament.

Since the tournament expanded to 16 teams in 1969, no team has every won three consecutive tournament titles. It has happned twice in the days of the 8-team tourney field. Peoria Notre Dame won three in a row from 1955 to 1957 and Western High from Macomb did it in 1961-63.

For the second straight year, Rock Falls fell to eventual the Illinois Class 'A' runner-up Winnebago at the DeKalb Super-sectional.

Last year's Rocket head coach, Chris Kusnerick, is now the head coach at Collinsville High School.
