2022 Game 20 Recap: Macomb 51, Farmington 41

The Farmington Farmers avenged their loss less than a month ago to the Macomb Bombers and spoiled the Bombers’ chances at an evening contest, 51-41, in Game 20. While the Bombers didn’t start the game with much offense, waiting until halfway through the first quarter to score their first basket, they ended the first eight minutes with some enthusiasm. On two Connor Watson assisted buckets late in the first quarter, Macomb went up 10-6 heading into the second period. The game continued to be closely contested in the second quarter, with the Farmers holding a narrow 23-22 advantage going into the locker room. Farmington controlled the third quarter, outscoring the Bombers 14-7 with Logan Morse scoring eight of the Farmer’s 14. The Farmers dominated much of the fourth quarter as well, going up 42-29 at one point. The Bombers went on an 11-1 run late in the fourth to cut their deficit to a single possession, but the Farmers finished the game strong from the free throw line going 5-of-6 in the final eight minutes.
