2022 Game 24 Recap: Rockridge 47, Farmington 37

Top-seeded Rockridge lost an overtime game to Illini Bluffs on Day 2 and was eager to fight back and win the 5th place trophy as a result. Tonight, they took down the Farmington Farmers by a score of 47-37. Both teams were tied 18-18 at the halftime break, but Rockridge won each of the last two quarters. Rebounds were the biggest factor in this game, as the Rockets shined in the category 29-to-16.

Rockridge (10-3) was led in scoring and rebounding by Landon Bull, who had 17 points and nine rebounds. Landon Wheatley finished with 14 points and Caleb Cunico added 10 more. TJ Wilson grabbed seven rebounds. Wheatley led his team with three assists and two steals.

Farmington was once again led by Keauntrey Barnes’s 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting and two blocks. Logan Morse, who has had a fantastic tournament in his own right, ended with a statsheet-filling five points, five rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Gage Renken finished second on the team with nine points.

Rockridge takes home their 9th trophy in MWHT history, which includes four titles. Farmington, now 10-4 after another four games in the MWHT, will look to build on their impressive season heading into the new year.
